Install panels in an instant

1. step
Preparation
Required materials
- Dumawall panels or tiles
- Measuring tape, pencil and spirit level
- Utility knife or other cutting tool
- Dumafix or other adhesive suitable for wall panels
- Optional: silicone sealant for joints in very humid areas (e.g. shower cabin)
Check the surface
- Ensure a clean, dry and flat surface.
- Remove dust, grease and loose material.
- Dumawall can be applied directly to existing tiles or other surfaces.
- For damp, uneven walls, we recommend using the Dumawall+ tile frame.
Acclimatization
Let the panels rest for 48 hours in the room where they will be installed, keeping a distance of at least 50 cm from the walls. The ideal ambient temperature is 20 °C.

2. step
Measuring and cutting
Measurement
Measure the wall accurately to know how many square meters of tiles/panels you need. Always make sure you have enough material as there will always be waste when cutting. We recommend having at least 10% extra material and adhesive.
Cutting the board to size
Cut or saw the boards to the desired size. Use a fine utility knife or other tool. If you are cutting the board with a utility knife, make several cuts before breaking it.
Check the fit before proceeding.
3. step
Installation of tiles and panels
Laying the first row:
If desired, install the profile first. Start at the bottom of the wall and work from right to left. Apply the adhesive to the back of the board or directly to the surface in vertical zigzag lines. Dumawall+ can also be attached with nails or staples. Press the board firmly against the wall and make sure it is flat.
Connect the following boards:
Use a tongue and groove joint to easily join the panels. If the panels are installed in a very humid area (e.g. shower cubicle), seal the groove with silicone.

Finishing and maintenance
Do not place heavy accessories such as coat racks, lamps, mirrors, etc. directly on the tiles. Instead, drill holes through the tiles and attach the accessories to the underlying wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs.
For maintenance, use common household cleaners.
For a thorough cleaning, you can use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. However, in most cases, a damp cloth is sufficient to clean the tiles.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, aggressive substances or chlorine-based cleaners. Solvents are also not recommended.
Our products are made of PVC and are 100% recyclable. PVC does not contain hazardous substances.
